Repetition of visual elements such as shape, colour or motif is common at Standen.
This group of bud vases draws influence from the deliberate reuse of elements like shape, line, color and motif within the Arts & Crafts movement, in order to create a visual rhythm, whilst adding a modern twist by using similar elements in each of these vases, but in varying ways. When displayed together the similarities and differences create conversations between the vases, and a calm coherence.
The exhibition runs until 30 September. Once a purchase has been completed, buyers may choose either to collect their artwork free of charge from Standen House on 2 October, or to have the work professionally packed, insured and couriered by Sussex Contemporary. Delivery charges vary according to the size, weight and value of each artwork and are detailed on the individual product page before purchase.
