Fang Si-Chi's First Love Paradise I
Digital painting, archival pigment print, ed.10
Dimensions: 52 × 52 × 6 cm framed (image: 30 × 30 cm)
Artist’s statement
Fang Si-Chi’s First Love Paradise I considers shelter as a promise made by intimacy. Its dreamlike interior holds the warmth and anticipation of “first love”, while an undercurrent of uncertainty unsettles that sense of safety. The work lingers at the boundary between trust and vulnerability, asking whether a place that appears to protect can also conceal harm.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
