Diaspora
Pastel on Card
Dimensions: 101 × 81 cm
Artist’s statement
Diaspora is a work that looks at the plight of migrants fleeing conflict and persecution seeking safe harbors. My abstract boat holds fragments of bodies and scattered life jackets. The promise of safety is everywhere but also nowhere. Shelter here is not a place but a question, a fragile idea suspended between loss and longing.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
