Rebecca Angel
Held Within
Mixed paper Collage on Board
Dimensions: 80 x 60 x 1
Artist’s statement
Held Within explores shelter as a space of protection, support and transformation. Fragments of paper and repurposed materials from my studio archive are brought together in a new configuration, allowing fragile elements to find new use and relationship. At the centre, a light circular space gathers these fragments into a sense of calm and protection, while the surrounding structure remains integral, supporting and holding the inner space.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
