Artist’s statement
My still life paintings reflect my emotional response to personal items that very much say home to me. We recently moved and interestingly when a home is emptied of possessions even after many years of living in that space, the four walls that housed those treasured items is no longer that home and shelter, it is just a space. The things you gather and treasure, that travel with you are your home. The ritual of making a tea or coffee with that favourite cup says home, shelter and family to me.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
