Toward shelter - Skye
Oil and acrylic on canvas, diptych
Dimensions: Height 46 cm; length 108 cm; depth 5 cm
Artist’s statement
Imagined after being caught in a rainstorm on the Isle of Skye, this diptych holds the moment when an exposed landscape makes shelter feel urgently necessary. The path draws the eye towards the shore, while the land across the two panels seems to offer a place to turn out of the weather. Shelter is felt here before it is found.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
