Ramshackle Sheds
Oil on Card
Dimensions: 55cm,75cm,1mm
Artist’s statement
Ramshackle sheds meet the theme 'Shelter' by representing the raw, fundamental human drive to create protection from the elements, even with minimal resources. While they may look flimsy or decayed they embody the core concept of shelter. Even if falling apart, its a space controlled by an individual, offering refuge & sanctuary. Shelter can be temporary & fragile, yet still fulfil a desperate need despite being weathered and rundown. Its a psychological state of feeing secure or hidden away.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
