Artist’s statement
Shelter for me has never been a building. I find it in wild places; mountains, water, weather and the elements, where I feel held, protected and safe to simply be me.
My everyday life carries high responsibilities, expectations and people to support. In the landscape, those demands fall away. I have nothing to prove, nothing to fix and no version of myself I need to become. Even the storm is not something to shelter from; it is part of what holds and grounds me. Here, I am simply me.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
