Artist’s statement
A recent photographic work from a series drawing loosely on the tradition of the Capriccio. My work stands somewhere in the fuzzy intersections of Painting with photography, and sculpture with still life. I don't deal in specifics but make images that attempt to be more general, open-ended in interpretation, hopefully poetic, but sometimes a little absurd. Seed 1 is quite literally a small world, small places of safety and shelter sit isolated in their own little spaces within dense forest.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
