Dimensions: 38cm x 27cm
Artist’s statement
This piece came to fruition in a time of poor health. Using a found piece of MDF shelving from a domestic space and wall paint, the painting quietly observes a solitary familiar setting. These domestic materials provide a sense of the everyday and security. Within the vast blue space between the house and sun, under several layers of paint is an embedded motif of a heron. The heron, a recurring symbol within my work, is representative to me of patience and wisdom in trying and difficult times.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
