Rabbit
Ink on Paper
Dimensions: 35 x 27
Artist’s statement
This work explores the idea of shelter through vulnerability and loss. I am interested in shelter not simply as a physical structure, but as the expectation of safety and the fragile boundary between being protected and being exposed.
The image of the dead rabbit is central to this idea. The rabbit was caught and killed by my pet dog, and drawing it became a way of confronting the vulnerability of a wild animal within a domestic environment.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
