Artist’s statement
For the concept of SHELTER I have played with the ambiguity of looking in, looking back, through or beyond. I leave space for the viewer to decide where that shelter and safe place might be – Looking through the window, are they already sheltered, or are they seeking shelter?
This edge of uncertainty interests me and how different viewers will interpret the spaces represented.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
