Clare Filskow
Under the weather at Tarring Neville
Reduction Lino cut print
Dimensions: Framed 52x72cm unframed 32x44cm
Artist’s statement
The small farm cottages at Tarring Neville take shelter beside the bucolic hillside - seemingly cowering beneath the turbulent skies above. The small human scale of the buildings compared with the land and sky implies vulnerability- yet out of sight is a quarry, man's mark and our mark making will bring more violent weather in the future.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
