Artist’s statement
Safely home is about the comfort we find in creating spaces for ourselves. Sometimes home isn't a physical place at all. it can be a feeling, memory, a person or simply that moment when we feel safe enough to let everything else fall away. The single circular form feels almost human to me. It has its own weight and presence, surrounded by a sense of space that feels protective and calming. I think of it as a small world within a larger one, a place we can retreat, breath and feel held
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
