Artist’s statement
Holloways are ancient roads through the countryside followed by thousands of travellers be they merchants, pilgrims herders or migrants. The trees offer shelter from rain and from sun. These tracks guide and embrace those journeying. Animals and birds shelter within and native trees and plants flourish in the dabbled shade. Holloways are beautiful and unreplaceable sites in our rural history.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
