Artist’s statement
Accumulation of light creates a visual language of pattern and tone to evoke the transient nature of shelter. This cameraless darkroom photogram explores the shifting presence and absence of people in rooms, this work expresses my own conflicted feelings about the impact of tourism and gentrification. The temporary shelter of an apartment for a visitor may erase or displace a community. I create images that challenge direct readings of time and place, opening up ambiguous visual spaces.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
