Blue Prospects
Oil on cradled panel
Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 3.5
Artist’s statement
Blue Prospects captures Prospect Cottage at Dungeness during the transition from golden hour to blue hour. The warm light from within contrasts with the increasingly cold blue light outside, making the cottage appear as a welcoming refuge in the exposed landscape. The illuminated windows suggest human presence and warmth, even though we cannot see inside. Shelter is created not only by the building, but by the feeling of warmth and security that the light suggests.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
