Artist’s statement
Koh Chang’s beach huts, battered by storms, stand abandoned & unsafe, cocooned by trees that now compete for prominence. Amid an unsettled world of dangerous politics & a bleak drift towards reliance on AI, I increasingly seek nature’s purity - forest walks & clean air - as medicine. Though the dilapidated structure shows nature’s destructive force, the painting expresses a desire to burrow in the safety of verdure & watch reliable tides make tracks in the sand.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
