“What’s he building in there?” Tom Waits
A shed can be a retreat, a safe space, a hiding place, a shelter.
M Noir’s paintings investigate the symbolic power of the object.
A shed can be a vessel, a container of memories with objects in them that also hold memories. The shed itself can recall memories and times spent.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
