Artist’s statement
These lime trees formed a natural canopy, creating a quiet peaceful space beneath their branches. They provide shelter from the elements (perhaps rain or like now the sweltering sun) and from the demands of life beyond. For me a spot like this in nature provides me with a shelter, a very much needed refuge - to pause, breathe and feel protected and cocooned.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
