Survival Kit
Assemblage sculpture
Dimensions: 33 x 51 x 28
Artist’s statement
Gathered together in a suitcase rendered useless is a collection of artefacts, each one carefully selected from my own copious collections of found objects, and each one conforming, however extraneously, with an item on a Prepper’s list for survival. Asking myself whether I would survive any given catastrophe, and would my art offer me safe harbour… the answer might not be clear to some as these items are clearly not fit for purpose, but to me it is an affirmative - there is refuge in art.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
