Dimensions: 30 x 42 x 0.1
Artist’s statement
The drawings depicts a found 'bender' in the woods, a simple form of shelter made using the twigs and branches found on the forest floor. Often made as an educational activity for school or club groups these can be found in woods and forests all round the country. Whilst rarely used these days as a real shelter these structures evoke a time when they could have protected someone from the cold or wet.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
