Artist’s statement
The huge constructions of glass and steel that have arisen in cities around the world are often perceived as symbols of development and affluence. However, London continues to have major housing problems. At the same time that its skyline is expanding, some buildings remain empty or unused, while many people struggle to find affordable housing and there are increasing numbers of homeless people living on the streets.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
