Jess Skelton
HullK
Ceramic
Dimensions: 31 x 19 x 16
Artist’s statement
HullK suggests abandoned industrial structures teetering atop uncertain foundations of rock and the rubble of human detritus. HullK exists in the ‘shadowlands'; semi wild post urban spaces revealing societal stability as illusion. Home to those who never fitted in to prevailing mainstream systems, HullK invites reflection upon what will be left and who will be able to adapt and survive when societal systems of individualism and manic consumption have pillaged the planet beyond its limits.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
