Harbour
Oil Paint on Canvas
Dimensions: 105 x 55 x 4cm
Artist’s statement
Britain has a complex relationship with its surrounding waters, barrier, highway and place of work. A hundred years ago my grandfather was crewing a drifter out of Stornoway. My grandmother and her friends followed the herring fleet round the coast filleting fish by the million. Safe from winter storms, we are in the summer harbour.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
