I'll be home soon x
Coloured pencil on paper
Dimensions: 21cm x 29.7cm
Artist’s statement
'I'll be home soon x' depicts the keychain of my partner.
By drawing our focus to this object, I highlight the relationship we have with our closest loved ones, and how their presence at the end of the day boosts us. This is my way to display the emotional shelter that our relationships bring us, no matter the kind.
I hope to slow us down, to observe the details in an object we often disregard, to dwell on the safety and refuge, these forms of shelter bring us, not exclusively physical shelter.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
