Becoming (2026)
Monoprint collage
Dimensions: 50cm x 25cm framed
Frame included.
Artist’s statement
For physical or metaphorical transformation to take place a holding space is needed. The pupae, the cocoon represents that space of shelter, a self-created 'nest' for metamorphosis.
For us, a space we may yearn for, seek and hopefully find in ourselves, in another or a group, to retreat to, to process, to learn, to become.
This idea can have positive or negative connotations as our experience and surrounding conditions are powerful and form our sense of self socially, politically, spiritually.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
