Artist’s statement
Using the fluid grain of Lomography, this image frames a moving Berlin S-Bahn train as a fleeting, mid-motion shelter. Public transit serves as an invisible ecosystem sustaining urban life. The hazy exposure evokes a displaced memory, capturing the train cabin not just as transit, but as a temporary refuge – the exact threshold where the outside world recedes and the inner world takes shape.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
