Artist’s statement
The place I find shelter is from within. My place of refuge and safety is a place of renewal, of quiet and of being. Sometimes it isn’t easy to find, but it is always there. This shelter can offer not just refuge but also perspective, and you know, it can just listen.
The form of this protection changes, its a shapeshifter. It envelopes with care and love. This shelter isn’t just for me but for anyone and its shape envelopes our being with care and love.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
