Borderlands
acrylic on wood panel
Dimensions: 84 x 122 x 3
Artist’s statement
Aside from the obvious shelter of the pine tree for the viewer, this painting depicts the chisos mountains in big bend national park, on the border of Mexico and the USA. For many years it has provided a refuge for those attempting to cross. The trump administration is currently illegally bulldozing through the national park to build a border wall.
All purchased artworks must remain in the exhibition until 12pm on 29 November 2026.
Artworks can be collected between 12pm and 6pm on 29 November 2026, or between 10am and 4pm on 30 November 2026.
For every £1 spent with SUSSEX contemporary, 70p goes directly to the artist.
